President Widodo, who were seen sporting a black suit and red tie, greeted President Waqa who wore a black suit and blue tie.
Meanwhile, First Lady Iriana wore an orange-colored traditional attire called the "baju kurung."
The head of state of the Republic of Nauru was welcomed with a 21-gun salute that was followed by the singing of the national anthem of the two countries.
After signing the state guest book, President Widodo and President Waqa held a discussion in the veranda, which is known as the president's "Veranda Talk."
The officials accompanying President Widodo during the reception included Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Wiranto, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi, and Minister of State Secretriat Pratikno.
