"This forum will be attended by at least representatives from 15 countries and will be opened by the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut Binsar Panjaitan," Pelindo Marine Service President Director Ali Sodikin remarked here on Monday.
As the Asia-Pacific Maritime Pilot Forum 2017 organizing committee chairman, Sodikin said the event aims to improve the quality of guidance, and prioritize the safety factors of ships, environment and service certainty.
Meanwhile, Bali Regional Secretary Cokorda Ngurah Pemayun, who was accompanied by the Head of Public Relations and Protocol of Bali Province, Dewa Mahendra Putra, expressed his appreciation and support from the Provincial Government of Bali to host this event.
"We take pride in choosing Bali as the host, there is practically a multiplier effect that will be felt by the people of Bali," he said.
He expressed hope that this event can be fully prepared so as to satisfy the participants, especially from abroad.
On the occasion, the committee also delivered an invitation to the Governor of Bali Made Mangku Pastika to be able to attend and give a welcome greeting. (WDY)
