Bogor, W Java (Antara Bali) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is scheduled to visit Bogor Botanical Garden for a Garut sheep contest, here, Saturday.
Some one thousand sheep from Garut will be contesting in the competition organized as part of the commemoration of the Indonesian Independence Day anniversary.
The head of state will symbolically present 100 quality Ettawa and Saanen sheep for husbandry.
Jokowi will also hold a dialog with Garut sheep farmers who are a part of the Indonesian Sheep and Goat Farmers' Association (HPDKI).
The contest will be closed by a sheep parade and presentation of Independence Day Trophies to four winners.
Agriculture Minister Amran Sulaiman and West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan are expected to be present during the contest. (WDY)
