Jakarta (Antara Bali) - The commemoration of Isra' Mikraj of Prophet Muhammad SAW (Peace be upon him) 1437 Hegira, with the theme of "Strengthening Muslims in Indonesia," was held at the state place on Wednesday evening.

The Isra' (journey of the Prophet Muhammad SAW at night from  Haram, the great mosque in Mecca, to Aqsa mosque in Baitulmuqaddas, Palestine), and Mikraj (Prophet Muhammad's journey to heavens at night time to receive five times' prayer commandment), was attended by Vice President Jusuf Kalla and a number of high ranking officials.

The Cabinet Ministers who were present at the religious event, among others, included Coordinating Minister for Economy Darmin Nasution, Religious Affairs Minister Lukman Hakim Saefuddin, Health Minister Nila F Moeloek, and the National Police chief, General Badrodin Haiti.

Other ranking officials who attended the religious event were Speaker of the House of Representatives (DPR) Ade Komarudin, chairman of the Regional Representative Council (DPD) Irman Gusman and a number of foreign ambassadors. (WDY)
