Manado, N Sulawesi (Antara Bali) - The village chiefs must have a discipline to report the first phase of village funds which have been launched by the central government, Finance Minister Bambang Brodjonegoro has said.
"The sanction is clear that if the district and city do not immediately distribute the village funds that have been received from the central government, there will be postponement or a cut of equalization funds," the minister said when publicizing the village funds policy in Lolak village, Bolaang Mongondow District, North Sulawesi on Sunday.
According to him, the central government will send the second phase of the village funds to the general treasury accounts of all villages in August this year.
The government has to be responsible or make report about the first phase uses of the village funds, he affirmed.
The central government has allocated Rp402.55 billion of the village funds to the North Sulawesi province in 2015. (WDY)
