Denpasar (Antara Bali) - The regional trade and industry office of Bali said the province exported US$13.2 million worth of jewelry in the first four months of the year or more than doubling export value of the same commodity of US$6 million in the same period last year.
The export value of gold and silver ornaments and other jewelry more than doubled the earning of US$6 million from the exports of the same commodities in the same period last year.
The commodities are high in demand in export markets such as in Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia and the United States, Made Parsua,a trader from Gianyar, said here on Thursday.
The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) said the largest buyer was Hong Kong accounting for 21.37 percent , followed by Singapore and Australia respectively accounting for 19.56 percent and 19.55 percent and Thailand for 8 percent and the United States for 6 percent. (WDY)
