Jakarta (Antara Bali) - Indonesia's state-owned oil and gas company Pertamina, through its Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) Unit, is tendering crude oil to meet its refinery processing needs, Vice President of Pertamina ISC Daniel Syahputra Purba stated here, Tuesday.
He revealed that the tender was announced to meet the refinery processing needs in April 2015.

According to Daniel, Pertamina ISC has announced the tender since January 22.

"We will evaluate all the offers. The future tenders depend on the processing directorate for crude and marketing directorate for fuel oil (BBM)," he stated.

Integrity and transparency are the most important factors in the tendering process that is open for all vendors, including credible traders, Daniel noted.

Minister for Energy and Mineral Resources Sudirman Said remarked during a meeting with the House of Representatives on January 26 that Pertamina will stringently evaluate the feasibility of all crude and BBM suppliers by involving an independent body.

The Oil and Gas Management Reform of the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry recommended that Pertamina ISC should take over the crude oil and BBM import tendering process from Pertamina Energy Trading Limited (Petral).

During this time, Petral has imported as much as 8 to 10 million barrels per month of BBM and 10 million barrels of crude oil per month to meet Pertamina's requirements. (WDY)
