Jakarta (Antara Bali) - An earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter Scale shook Acehsingkil, Aceh Darussalam, on Thursday at 9.35 pm local time, but had no potential to trigger tsunami.
The quake's epicenter was located at 1.91 degree northern latitude and 97.88 degree eastern longitude, the National Meteorological, Climatology and Gephysics Agency stated on its official website.
The epicenter was around 67 km of southwest of Acehsingkil and 72 km southwest of Central Tapanuli, at a depth of 12 km below sea level. (WDY)
