Jakarta (Antara Bali) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has praised the public for helping 12-year old Tasripin with donations to renovate his home in Central Java's Banyumas district.
"I wish to express my gratitude to the 0701 District Military Command and Banyumas community for their help to renovate Tasripin's house. This is a good example," the President said on his Twitter account @SBYudhoyono on Friday.
The head of state said Indonesia did not discriminate between the poor and the rich. It always encouraged the haves to have social sensitiveness to help the needy.
"We do not subscribe to class antagonism, confronting the haves and the have nots. This has the potential to create social vulnerability," he said.
He said a sense of social justice must be upheld in daily life. "What is important is that social justice must be upheld. The haves must meet their tax obligations and show social solidarity with their fellows," president said. (*/DWA)
