Solo (Antara Bali) - Many Indonesians have sent condolences over the deaths caused by recent bombings in Boston,  US Deputy Ambassador Kristen F Bauer said.

"Thank you for the condolences and it is hoped the incident in Boston could be settled soon," she said here on Friday after meeting with interfaith leaders at the Surakarta Grand Mosque compound.

Regarding her visit to the town she said that it has been planned for quite a long time but only now could she carry it out.

Adji Tjandra, a Khonghucu religious cleric, who attended the meeting said that there has been no friction among different religious followers in the city as harmonious relationship has been established not only among leaders but also grassroots.

Before attending the meeting Kristen F Bauer inspected the renovation of the mosque and was received by mosque official Slamet Abi. (IGT)
