Denpasar (Antara Bali) - Bali police are ready with snipers to ensure security during the commemoration of the 10th anniversary of Bali bombings on October 12.
"We have made preparations for sorties at the entry gates and planned escape routes. We have also prepared snipers. I have asked the intelligence agency to prepare a team of strikers and report recipients as well. All agents must be ready," said the Bali regional police command chief, Inspector General Budi Gunawan, at the regional Mobile Brigade headquarters here on Wednesday.
"I have asked all my men to be on guard all the time during the event," he added.
Meanwhile, the Bali regional police command deputy chief, Brigadier General Ketut Untung Yoga Ana, stated that the police had "prepared a team in line with the degree of perceived security threat".
However, he refused to provide details about the number of snipers that will be deployed to ensure security at the ceremony.(IGT/T007)
