Semarapura (Antara Bali) - A police member of the Klungkung police precinct in Bali province, Adjunct Brigadier-I Nyoman Lokadana was killed after his motorcycle rammed into a truck unloading sand at the Ida Bagus Mantra road here on Thursday.
The victim (Nyoman Lokadana) who is the patrol unit chief of the Abang police office, died after suffering from a serious bleeding at his head, the local police office confirmed.
The accident occurred at about 12.15 Central Indonesia Standard Time (Wita) when the victim was on his way from Denpasar to Semarapura, Klungkung.
Before the accident happened, Lokadana took his son to Sanglah general hospital in Denpasar for medical treatment.
On their way home from the hospital, Lokadana drove too far to the left and hit a truck which was unloading sand.
Lokadana who hit the back part of the truck, died on the scene, meanwhile his son, identified as Gde Eka Sanjaya,21, broke the bone of his right shoulder.(*/T007)
