Depok (Antara Bali) - The Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) is still undecided about whether it will support Joko Widodo (Jokowi) or Fauzi Bowo (Foke) in the Jakarta gubernatorial runoff polls on September 20.

"We are still studying the political dynamics developing in the community," member of the Jakarta legislative assembly (DPRD) Muhamad Gunawan of the PKS faction said after attending a National Leader Champ forum at University of Indonesia (UI) here on Sunday.

PKS will take advantage of the remaining time to consolidate its cadres, he said.

He said both Jokowi and Foke camps had met with Hidayat Nur Wahid, the PKS' candidate in the gubernatorial election.  "Admittedly, they have approached us but we have not as yet taken any stand. It is the party leadership that will decide the party's stand," he said.

PKS's defeat in the polls is not because regional leaders from the party had low achievement but because Jakarta residents had their own choice, he said.(DWA/T007)
