Indonesian Action Movie Won Award in Paris

Jakarta (Antara Bali) - An Indonesian action movie, "Headshot," directed by Timo Tjahjanto and Kimo Stamboel, has won the Grand Nouveax Genre Award at LEtrange Festival Paris 2016.

A statement issued by Screenplay Infinite Films production house and received by Antara here on Tuesday said it was the first award that the movie won at a festival.

LEtrange Festival Paris 2016 specializes in awarding movies in genres such as horror, fantasy, action and experimental cinema.

In addition to Headshot, the 22nd LEtrange Festival Paris 2016 gave the Grand Nouveax Genre Award to "They Call Me Jeeg Robot," directed by an Italian director, Gabrielle Mainetti.

Meanwhile, the audiences pick was "Endless Poetry" by Alejandro Jodorowsky.

Besides being screened at LEtrange Festival Paris 2016, Headshot will be running at Beyond Fest in Los Angeles, USA from September 30 to October 11, 2016.

It will also be screened as the West Coast Premiere on October 4, 2016.

The action movie will be played at the Mayhem Film Festival 2016 as the UK Premiere on October 13, 2016.

Headshot will be competing with 17 other international movies at the movie festival.(WDY)
