Jakarta (Antara Bali) - Bank Indonesia (BI) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will jointly host an international conference in Jakarta on September 2.
The conference will be based on the theme: "Future of Asia's Finance: Financing for Development 2015."
"The conference will among others discuss the conditions and prospects of the world economy and the way Asia is responding to it. It will also discuss issues related to the position of central banks," BI Governor, Agus Martowardojo, said here on Thursday.
The BI governor and IMF Executive Director, Christine Lagarde, will inaugurate the conference, which will be divided into three sessions with the themes based on development financing, human resource mobilization for development and the inclusiveness of financial markets.
Apart from the seminar sessions, the IMF will also launch a book entitled "The Future of Asia's Finance," which contains a study analysis and policy recommendations. (WDY)
