Bandarlampung (Antara Bali) - A 6.2-magnitude earthquake rocked the waters southwest of East Nusa Tenggara province's Saburaijua area early Saturday but did not have the potential to trigger a tsunami, according to the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG).
The epicenter of the quake which struck at 00.51 a.m. local time was located 12.15 degrees southern latitude and 121.59 degrees eastern longitude at a depth of 15 km, the head of the Kotabumi geophysics station in Lampung, Yuharman said quoting a BMKG report.
There was no immediate report of casualties or material damages. (IGT)
