Jakarta (Antara Bali) - Indonesia will promote its fishery products at the European Seafood Exposition (ESE) in Brussels, Belgium, from April 24-26, 2012, Marine Affairs and Fisheries Minister Sharif C. Sutardjo said in Brussels on Monday.
He added that promotion of fish products was a strategic move meant to attract European markets and increase the trade balance through the international seafood exhibition.
"That strategic movement was intended to help Indonesian business players in marketing, promoting and developing products in international markets, particularly in the European Union," the minister said.
According to Sharif C Sutardjo, the Brussels' show, the world's largest seafood exhibition, would be attended by 1600 businesses, both buyers and sellers of fishery products, representing 140 countries.
"The event is the world's most effective means to conduct trade communications between sellers and buyers, and the companies which have market networks can utilize this exhibition to maintain their relationships and communications with foreign buyers," he added.(IGT)
