Telkomsel Wins "Best Champion" Award

Denpasar (Antara Bali) - Cellular phone operator Telkomsel received the "Best Champion" award jn the GSM cellular operator category at the Bali Service Excellence Award (BSEA) 2012 event at the Patra Bali Resort & Villa in Kuta, Bali, at the weekend.

"BSEA is an award given to local companies and brands from 11 industrial categories for their best customer services in the Paradise Island," Telkomsel sales and customer service general manager of Bali regional division Nusra Syaiful Bachri said here on Monday.

The award was based on the results of a survey conducted by marketing research institute Markplus Insight on 1,000 correspondents in Bali from November to December last year, he said.

The respondents were decision makers in the purchase of certain products and services. The respondents aged between 21 and 55 represented socio-economic strata A, B and C, he said.

Based on the survey, Telkomsel scored the highest in terms of customer services for the GSM cellular operator category with 75.43, followed by XL Axiata 74.22 and Indosat 73.73, he said.

Telkomsel also won BSEA 2012 award for the category of internet provider through TELKOMSELFlash service, he said.  

Founder & President of Markplus Inc. Hermawan Kertajaya meanwhile said the BSEA 2012 was organized to support the marketing activities of local companies and brands that might inspire the rapid growth of the local economy.

"We hope this award may give a feedback to local champions so that the marketing activities of local companies and brands can be carried out effectively for a long time," he said.(IGT)
