Denpasar (Antaranews Bali) - Three Indonesian boxers received invitations to fight in "The Belt and Road China-ASEAN Boxing Championship" in Nanning City, Guangxi, China, from 24-25 November 2018.

Chairperson of the Indonesian Amateur Boxing Board (Pertina) chapter in Bali Made Muliawan Arya, who was already in China, told Antara correspondent in Denpasar on Saturday, that the three boxers to  compete in the championship were Gregorius Gheda Dende in 64 kg, Kornelis Kwangu Langli (56 kg), and Aldriani Beatrix Suguro (51 kg daughter).

"We are the team's manager  and accompanied by a box trainer Denisius Agustinus Hitarihun from East Nusa Tenggara (NTT)," said Muliawan Arya, who is popularly known as De Gadjah.

De Gadjah said the departure to China  was at the invitation of AIBA (Internationale de Boxe Amateur, a boxing body that houses the world's amateur boxing).

He said that the group departed from Soekarno-Hatta Airport to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. From Malaysia they proceeded to the City of Nanning, Guangxi, China.

"We ask for your prayers so the Indonesian team can achieve the best results in China, and bring the name of the Indonesian nation on the international scene," said De Gadjah. (ed)
