Badung (Antara Bali) - The 15th anniversary of the first Bali bombings by terrorists was commemorated here on Thursday, marked by the launch of the book "Luka Bom Bali" (Wounds of Bali Bombings).

"Let us pray for the victims of the bombings. We should not have no grudge against anyone in order to create peace," Bali governor Made Mangku Pastika stated.

The book, launched to mark the anniversary of first bombing tragedy in Bali 15 years ago, depicts the real stories of the victims of the bombings.

Pastika noted that the commemoration of the tragedy was not aimed at recalling the incident, which caused deep wounds for Bali and the world, but to remind the people to prevent the recurrence of such incidents in future.

"What is important is to wipe out the grudge in order to create peace," he remarked at the event, which was also attended by representatives from several consulates/consulates general in the resort island.

Although 15 years have passed, it is still difficult for the victims to forget the trauma and the pain caused by the incident.

"Through this book, victims hope the world may be able to share their pain, and grudge would be completely wiped out," the governor revealed.
