The MoU is the important outcome of a business meeting held by Indonesia and South Africa on September 30, 2015, Kadin said in a press statement released on Monday.
The business meeting also reflected collaboration between the Indonesian Embassy in Pretoria, the Indonesian Trade Promotion Center (ITPC) in Johannesburg, and NAFCOC, the statement said.
The MoU was signed by Kadin Chairman Suryo Bambang Sulisto and NAFCOC Chief Lawrence Mavundla, in the presence of the Indonesian ambassador to South Korea, the Indonesian consul general in Cape Town, and representatives of the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
South African Minister for Small and Medium Enterprises Development Lindiwe Zulu warmly welcomed the business forum, underscoring the importance of Indonesia's role in empowering small and medium enterprises and strengthening its economic relations with South Africa.

Some 130 South African businesspeople attended the event which was also designed to promote Indonesian products such as batik, tires, coffee, and motor vehicle battery.
