Jakarta (Antara Bali) -- The Indonesian Trade Promotion Center (ITPC) in Lagos is seeking to establish cooperation with Nigerian lubricants firm PT Ammasco International Ltd.
"The Nigerian firm is interested to cooperate with Indonesian companies that deal with lubricants," Head of the ITPC Nano Wawan Setiawan said in a press statement of the Ministry of Trade here on Thursday.
The ITPC in Lagos and the Indonesian Embassy in Abuja held a business meeting with the Kano Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mining and Agriculture (KACCIMA) at the Presidential Hall, Tahir Guest Palace, in Kano, Nigeria, recently.
Setiawan stated that the ITPC in Lagos had successfully convinced members of the KACCIMA to participate in Trade Expo Indonesia 2015 in Jakarta in October.
"Kano is the biggest business city in northern Nigeria that serves as the distribution center for other Nigerian regions such as Kaduna, Katsina, Zamfara, Kebbi, Bauchi, and Jigawa," he noted.
Setiawan added that the meeting had opened up opportunities for Indonesia to increase its exports of food, beverages and garments to predominantly Muslim-populated countries.
"Kano also serves as a gateway to other African countries in the north such as Niger, Chad, Cameroon and Mali," he affirmed. (WDY)
