"This meeting is a meeting for ASEAN businessmen," Deputy Assistant of Multilateral Economy Cooperation and Finance of the Coordinating Ministry for Economy Affairs Edwin Manansang said here on Monday.
The meeting, according to Manansang, will be held in October or November 2016.
He said the event consists of exhibition and business meeting participated by fifteen provinces in Indonesia, which are members of BIMP - EAGA, and other member countries such as Malaysia, the Philippines, Brunei, and Thailand.
"Other countries outside the BIMP-EAGA trading partner will also be invited," Manansang added.
South Sulawesi Governor Syahrul Yasin Limpo said the administration is ready to facilitate the meeting.
He hoped the meeting is not just a ceremony and exhibition. There should be a special strategy to establish cooperation in the meeting.
"BIMP-EAGA is not only for ASEAN countries, but also for the world," the governor said. (WDY)
