(Antara Bali) - Indonesian womens and mens double players won champion
titles at Chinese Taipei Open Grand Prix Gold 2014.
Greysia Polii pairing with Nitya Krishinda won the womens double
champion title after surprisingly defeating their Chinese rival pair
Wang Xiaoli/Yu Yang 21-18, 21-11, the All Indonesia Badminton
Association (PBSI) reported in its website on Sunday.
This was their second victory against the Chinese pair after they
overpowered them at France Open 2013 21-17, 14-21, 23-21 to make the
score of victories to 2-2.
"Thank God, we are very glad we finally became a champion. The title
would make us more confident to meet the upcoming world championship
and Asian Games 2014.
Hendra Aprida Gunawan and Andree Adistia meanwhile grabbed the
champion title in the mens double event after beating Chinese pair Li
Junhui/Liu Yuchen in a rubber set 21-14,16-21, 21-16.
The Indonesian mixed double pair Alfian Eko Prasetyo/Annisa Saufika
however failed to become a champion after they surrendered to Chinese
pair Liu Yuchen/YuXiaohan 12-22, 14-21. (WDY)
