The earthquake took place in Bolmong District, North Sulawesi at 7m local time on Thursday. "It triggered strong tremors so that local residents in the two provinces became panicked," a resident said here on Thursday.
According to the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), the epicenter of the earthquake took place at a depth of 10 km about 131 km southeast of Bomong District, North Sulawesi, near the border with the Gorontalo Province. (DWA)
