Jakarta (Antara Bali) - Indonesia's cosmetic sales are predicted to increase 15  percent to Rp11.22 trillion  next year from this year  on growing demand from the country's  middle class consumers.

Demand is growing not only for ladies'  but also for men's cosmetics  among the middle class people, Nuning S. Barwa, the president of the Indonesian Association of Cosmetic Companies  said here Monday.

This year, cosmetic sales in the country are predicted to reach Rp9.76 trillion.

The growing consumption resulted in an increase in imports, Nuning said.

Imports surge after ASEAN harmonization as export and import procedures become simpler, Nuning said.(IGT)
