He met with his Indonesian counterpart, General Pramono Edhie Wibowo, at the army headquarters here on Thursday.
General Prayuth also visited the Indonesian Defence Forces (TNI) headquarters and the Ministry of Defence later in the day.
During his visit to the TNI headquarters, he was awarded a "Kartika Eka Paksi Utama" star for his efforts to boost cooperation between the two countries' armies in the fields of training and education.
At the Ministry of Defense, he was received by Defense Minister Purnomo Yusgiantoro.(DWA)
