Jakarta (Antara Bali) - Vice Air Force Chief Marshal Dede Rusamsi said the Air Force's Fokker-27 plane that crashed in a housing complex near Halim Perdanakusuma airbase in Jakarta on Thursday was still airworthy and had undergone routine maintenance.
"The plane had undergone scheduled maintenance and final check on June 15," said Rusamsi here Thursday.
Chronologically, on Thursday, June 21, the light Fokker 27 transport aircraft owned by the Indonesian Air Force with tail number 2708 of the Air Squadron 2 Halim Perdanakusumah airbase crashed on Branjangan Street in Rajawali housing complex, East Jakarta.
The plane piloted by Flight Major Heri Setyawan carried Flight First Lieutenant Paulus, Flight Second Lieutenant Sahroni, Engineering Captain Agus Supriadi, Sergeant Major Sihmulato, Chief Sergeant Wahyudi and First Sergeant Purwo Serka.
Six of seven crew members were instantly killed in the crash and one was in critical condition. "But at 06:20 p.m., Flight First Lieutenant Paul died at the Air Force's Hospital in the Halim Perdanakusama airbase compound," he said.(IGT)
