Malang, E Java (Antara Bali- A member of the Presidential Advisory Board KH Hasyim Muzadi died on Thursday morning in his residence in the complex of Pondok Pesantren (Islamic Boarding School) of Al Hikam  in  Malang.

The body  would be flown to Jakarta to be buried at  Al Hikam Depok.

KH Hasyim Muzadi, born on 8 August, 1944, died after intensive treatment  at the Lavalette hospital  and in his house in Malang , East Java, over the past several days.

Hasyim Muzadi was former chairman of Nahdlatul Ulama, the country's largest Islamic organization. (WDY)
