Jakarta (Antara Bali) - The government's capital expenditure in the year ended October 31, 2016, was Rp98 trillion, which was 43.1 percent of the revised target of Rp227.5 trillion, according to the finance ministry.

The figure is almost equal to the actual capital expenditure of Rp98.9 trillion the preceding year, which was 35.9 percent of the target of Rp275.8 trillion, according to data from the ministry quoted on Monday.

The expenditure on goods was Rp177.6 trillion or 63.2 percent of the target of Rp281.2 trillion, compared with Rp131.5 trillion or 55.1 percent of the target of Rp238.8 trillion for the same period last year, the data showed.

Personnel expenditure was Rp259.3 trillion or 75.6 percent of the target of Rp343 trillion, compared with Rp234.2 trillion or 79.9 percent of the target of Rp293,1 trillion for the same period of 2015.

Overall, actual central government's expenditure in the year ended October 2016 was Rp857.5 trillion or 65.6 percent of the target of Rp1,306.7 trillion, higher than Rp829.7 trillion or 62.9 percent of the target of Rp1,319.5 trillion a year earlier.

The finance ministry has projected that the central government's expenditure target for the end of 2016 may be achieved. The expenditure consists of ministries' expenditure of Rp683 trillion and non-ministerial institutions' expenditure of Rp519.7 trillion.(WDY)
