Jakarta (Antara Bali) - Indonesian Ambassador to Thailand Ahmad Rusdi has received a "Friendship Award" from the National Scout Organization of Thailand (NSO) for the services he rendered to enhance ties between the two countries' scouts.
A member of the NSO¿s executive board, Anatachai Rattakul, who is also a member of the Thai Royal family, conferred the award on the envoy on Friday (Oct 14), the National Scout Movement (Pramuka) said in a press statement released on Tuesday.
"In view of his services to enhance friendship and brotherhood between the NSO of Thailand and Pramuka of Indonesia, we confer a Friendship Award on Ahmad Rusdi," Anatachai stated at the Indonesian Embassy in Bangkok.
Ahmad Rusdi has been participating for long in educating the younger generations through various youth and scouts movements.
Both, the NSO of Thailand and Pramuka of Indonesia, upheld the norms of honesty, discipline, confidence and brotherhood.
Rusdi expressed his gratitude to the NSO of Thailand for the award.
He noted that the friendship between Indonesia and Thailand has been growing well. (WDY)
