Jakarta (Antara Bali) - The European Union (EU) will again hold a tourism exhibition to introduce interesting destinations in Europe scheduled at Balai Kartini from April 9 to 10.
"The "Destination Europe" event will be one of the biggest public events held by the European Union in Indonesia. A number of attractive packages will be offered at a special price at the event," European Union ambassador to Indonesia and Brunei Darussalam Vincent Guerend said at Hotel Le Méridien here Wednesday.
The 22 EU member countries and three other European nations would participate in the exhibition to impart full information to the Indonesian public, he said.
"Visitors may ask freely about anything there, whether about visa applications, locations, transportation and even the security situation," he said.
Apart from receiving information about interesting holiday destinations, visitors to the event will also be able to taste special foods from a number of countries participating in it, he added.
Destination Europe would not be a mere exhibition, as traditions and lifestyles of European communities would also be presented in it, Guerend said.
"Although we are in one continent, the traditions and lifestyles of member countries are unique. The diversity will give an added value to tourists visiting Europe," he said.
Each visitor to the event would have a chance to win eight tickets to Europe that will be announced every day during the event, he said. (WDY)
