Jakarta (Antara Bali) - Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Franky Sibarani will promote the Negative Investment List (DNI) to investors from the United States during his visit to San Francisco to accompany President Joko Widodo.
A BKPM press release, made available to Antara here on Monday, stated that the DNI, whose amendment was announced by the government last week, will be promoted to investors from the United States.
Sibarani said the new DNI to be promoted to investors from the United States includes four business areas: film, e-commerce, pharmacy, and market place.
"In the new DNI, the leading sectors of film industry, e-commerce, market place, and pharmacy will be the major attractions for investment by US investors," he remarked.
The BKPM head explained that investment from the "Uncle Sam Country" to Indonesia had so far been dominated by the mining sector.
He said the Indonesian government had noticed the interest of a renowned US film company to expand its business in Indonesia. (WDY)
