Denpasar (Antara Bali)- December 2015 The Christmas and New Year is a perfect moment for everyone, especially for Christians to gather and share the joy. Within this great occation, Aston Denpasar Hotel & Convention Center shared the joy and happiness with all staying guests and the children of Panti Asuhan Bina Ekklesia.
Fifteen children of Panti Asuhan Bina Ekklesia were performing Christmas Carol during breakfast in the lobby area of Aston Denpasar Hotel & Convention Center. They were joyful and happily performing more than 10 Christmas songs.
Meanwhile, Santa Claus was entertaining so many children by giving away gingerbread cookies, marshmallow and candies. Everyone was having great time on the Christmas Day, 25 December 2015.
"These children are singing for charity. Everyone is welcome to share their happiness by donating some fund to Panti Asuhan Bina Ekklesia. We have provided the donation box and will directly give the fund to those children," said Astrid Prahitaningtyas, the Public Relations Manager of Aston Denpasar Hotel & Convention Center.
Panti Asuhan Bina Ekklesia, finely managed by Mrs. Ketut Sion Ariningsih and her husband Reverend T. Sitorus, was first initiated in the year of 2000 by copping several unfortunate children. After running unofficially for five years, finally they managed to establish the foundation on 21 April 2005 under the official name of Yayasan Bina Ekklesia.
They rented a small house and supervised only five children at that time. Along the time, Mrs. Ketut Sion and Reverend Sitorus have had help from some member of the ministry of Gereja Sidang Jemaat Allah Messianic, where Reverend Sitorus stands as the clergy. In the year of 2012, they managed to rent a land and build a 7-bedroom house on Jalan Tukad Pakerisan Gang XVI-B No. 1, Panjer, Denpasar.
Now, Panti Asuhan Bina Ekklesia is fostering 31 persons from age of 4 to 24 years old, with education from kindergarten to university. Panti Asuhan Bina Ekklesia has managed to raise and educate two degree holders: one scholar in Education of English and one scholar in Theology. (*)
