Jakarta (Antara Bali) - The Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) will help strengthen the auditing  capacity of the Laotian counterpart through training and apprenticeship .

Chairman of the Indonesian BPK Dr Harry Azhar Azis has visited Laos at the invitation of President of  State Audit Organization (SAO) of Laos Dr Viengthong Siphandone.

 Dr Harry stayed in Laos for three days from Aug. 18 to 20   and met with Prime Minister Thongsing Thammavong  and President of SAO Dr Viengthong Siphandone in Vientiane.

SAO asked  BPK for help to strengthen the auditing capacity of the Laotian agency  through training and apprenticeship to study auditing methodology and techniques.

Dr Harry and his Laotian counterpart agreed to sign a cooperation agreement at a meeting of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASEANSAI) in November 2015.

During the stay in Laos Dr Garry and delegation held a bilateral seminar on BPK's experience  in goods ans service auditing.

BPK secretary general Hendar Ristriawan  and BPK's chief spokesman  Yudi Ramdan spoke at the seminar. (WDY)
