Jakarta (Antara Bali) - President Joko Widodo and his wife First Lady Iriana arrived back in the country at 6.45 p.m after paying a series of working visits to a number of Asian countries.
The Presidential plane landed at Halim Perdanakusuma from Singapore where the President attended the funeral ceremony of the Late Lee Kuan Yew, a former Singapore prime minister who died last Monday.
The President was welcomed by Vice President Jusuf Kalla, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Tedjo Edhi Purdijatno, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Indroyono Soesilo, Indonesian Defense Forces Chief General Moeldoko, National Police Deputy Chief Commissioner General Badrodin Haiti and Minister/state Secretary Pratikno.
Also present at the airport were Chief of the National Intelligence Agency (BIN) Marciano Noorman, Jakarta Governor Tjahaja Purnama and other state officials.
In his brief remarks, President Joko Widodo said his working visits to Japan and China brought a number of concrete results and would be followed up in the coming weeks.
Cooperation with Japan and China is mainly on economy. (WDY)
