Tokyo (Antara Bali) - Indonesian President Joko Widodo, better known as Jokowi, arrived at Tokyo's  Haneda International Airport in Japan at 9:49 pm local time on Sunday.

Boarding presidential aircraft, President Jokowi and his entourage departed from Jakarta's Halim Perdanakusuma airport at noon on Sunday to start his state visit to Japan, China, and Malaysia.

When arriving at Haneda airport, the present was greeted by the Chief of Protocol of Japan June Yamakazi, Indonesian Ambassador to Japan Yusron Ihza Mahendra, Japan's Deputy Foreign Minister Takashi Uno, and Japanese Ambassador to Indonesia Yazuaki Tanizaki.

During the visit to Japan, the Indonesian head of state is scheduled to meet Japanese Emperor Akihito, and to attend a business forum with around one thousand Japanese business makers to step up cooperation in the field of economy.

President Jokowi will be in Japan from March 22 to 25, in China from March 26-27, and return to Jakarta on March 28, 2015 with a stopover in Malaysia to attend the wedding party of a Malaysian official. In China, President Jokowi will meet his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping and will also attend a business forum with Chinese business makers.

During this overseas trip, the president is accompanied by First Lady Iriana Widodo, Foreign Affairs Minister Retno LP Marsudi, Coordinating Minister for Economy Sofyan Djalil, Trade Minister Rachmat Goble, TNI Chief General Moeldoko, Cabinet Secretary Andi Widjajanto, and Capital Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Chief Franky Sibarani.
