Jakarta (Antara Bali) - President elect Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said he talked with Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg on utilization of the online-media system in the country.
"We talked much about the utilization of Facebook in Indonesia, in a bid to drive and expand micro and macro economy," Jokowi said here on Monday.
"Mark will help us and will cooperate with us to expand the use of Facebook communications with the people," he said.
He said they also talked about internet access taxes, adding further discussions would be needed on internet access taxes.
"The discussions had been more on the use of Facebook during the last political campaigns. There was little about Internet access taxes," he said.
He said he told Mark that Indonesia is potential market for Facebook that there are about 70 million users of Facebook in the country.
He said as a bid market Indonesia should have a real gain from the use of Facebook. (WDY)
