Incheon, S Korea (Antara Bali) - The Indonesian women's pair  Greysia Polii/Nitya Maheswari moved to the finals of the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea, after beating Chinese duo Zhao Yuniei/Tian Qing 21-17, 19-21, 21-17 on Friday.

"This is extraordinary and raises Indonesia's hope of grabbing a gold medal,"  Indonesian badminton manager Lius Pongoh said after the match.

The victory surpassed the target of semifinal finish, he said.

In the finals on Saturday (Sept 27), Greysia/Nitya will meet Japanese duo Takahashi Ayaka/Matsutomo Misaki who beat Malaysia's Woon Khe Wei/Hoo Vivian Kah Mun 21-16, 21-17 in the semifinal encounter.

Indonesia has set itself the target of grabbing two gold medals from the men's doubles event and mixed doubles event. Indonesia's men's pair Ahsan/Hendra moves to the semifinals to play against the host duo. (WDY)
