Denpasar (Antara Bali) - Thousands of joint security personnel from the National Defense Forces (TNI) and National Police (Polri) have been assigned to ensure the security of the Bali Democracy Forum (BDF) on November 7-8, 2013, an official said.
"Together with police personnel and local community members, we will ensure the security and safety of the sixth Bali Democracy Forum," Udayana Regional Military Command IX Chief Mayor General Wisnu Bawa Tenaya said after leading a security force roll-call here on Monday.
However, he did not mention the exact number of security personnel to be deployed at the BDF, where democratic and political matters will be discussed.
"We will involve all security personnel from both TNI and Polri. All of them will coordinate with each other for the use of physical and non-physical force," he noted.
According to him, the security personnel will blanket the area including the least-travelled roads in Bali to anticipate any security disturbances that may arise before and during the BDF. (Ine/M038)
