Kuala Lumpur (Antara Bali) - State telecommunications operator PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk is penetrating the Malaysian cellular market through its mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) services targeting tourists of the two nations and Indonesians living in the neighboring country.
"Indonesian and Malaysian tourists as well as Indonesians living in Malaysia will become a target of our services," PT Telkom President Director Arief Yahya said after signing a partnership agreement with Telekomunikasi Indonesia Internasional (M) Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of PT Telkom in Kuala Lumpur, on Sunday.
For its part, Telin Malaysia would cooperate with travel agents to enable tourists of the two countries to communicate more easily, he said.
Nearly 4 million Indonesian and Malaysian tourists visited each other's country every year, he said. (*/M038)
