Jakarta (Antara Bali) - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of Indonesia has offered 15 new oil and gas blocks to Russian businessmen during the "Moscow International Oil & Gas Exhibition (MIOGE) 2013" on June 25 to 28.

The Third Secretary of Indonesian Embassy in Moscow, Pratomo Adi Nugroho, said to Antara in London, UK, on Tuesday (July 2) that some officials from the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry had come to Moscow in aiming to promote those 15 new blocks, located in South Sumatera, Java Sea, South and Southeast Sulawesi, Kalimantan, Southeast Maluku and Aru Sea, and West Papua.

Secretary of Oil and Gas's General Directory Hufron Asrofi said the participation of Indonesia on MIOGE 2013 was to promote the investment chances in those blocks, that some of which had been named to the New Palmerah, the Sakti, the South Sulawesi I and II, the Southeast I and II, the South Aru, and the Bird's Head.

"We have been aiming to invite the foreign investors on oil and gas sectors, particularly from Russia, that offered through first stage auction in 2013," he said. (*/M038)
