Denpasar (Antara Bali) - State cement maker Semen Indonesia said its sales in the resort island of Bali rose by an average of 10 percent to 45,000 tons in each of the past four months, a spokesman said.
The increase enabled Semen Indonesia to hold a 35 percent to 36 percent share of the province's cement market, up 10 percent from last year, head of the company's development and marketing development Rudi Hartono said on the sidelines of a meeting with customers from throughout the province on Saturday night.
The annual meeting brought together around 500 customers and retailers in the province.
Retailers are the spearhead of the company's sales because they have direct contact with users, head of the company's sales department Ketut Arsa Putra said.
"Good synergy with partners has increased our market share," he said. (IGT)
