Jakarta (Antara Bali) - Noted Muslim preacher Jeffry al Buchory was killed in a motorbike accident in Pondok Indah, South Jakarta at the wee hours on Friday.
"He lost control of his motorbike and hit a palm tree. He was then rushed to two hospitals," First Adjunct Inspector Kasono of the Jakarta Metropolitan Traffic Management Center (TMC) told Antara on Friday morning.
Kasno said that Jeffry was first rushed to Pondok Indah Hospital and then taken to Fatmawati Hospital.
"This is a single accident. There was no other vehicles involved," he said.
Police have yet to provide explanations on the causes of the accident. (IGT)
