Budapest (Antara Bali) - Indonesia's President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and Hungary's President Janos Ader met here on Wednesday evening and agreed to increase cooperation between the two countries especially in the field of economy.
"We believe Indonesia and Hungary could find new opportunities for cooperation in various fields especially the economic field," President Ader said in a joint press conference at Sandor Palace.
He said during the meeting they had also discussed inviting Indonesian investors to Hungary.
President Ader praised Indonesia for its success in dealing with the world's financial crisis and keeping its economy to grow above six percent.
He meanwhile said infrastructure could potentially provide a great chance for cooperation between the two countries. President Yudhoyono on the occasion said that his visit to Hungary was aimed at increasing cooperation in the field of business and economy.
"We have also agreed to encourage the private sector to keep looking for opportunities for economic cooperation," he said. Other areas discussed for possible cooperation include energy, education, environment and tourism.
"I believe we will be able to do more for our better future," he said. President Yudhoyono is scheduled to be in Budapest for two days after visiting Germany. (*/DWA)
