Delft (Antara Bali) - The Indonesian Student Association (PPI) in Hannover supports a Sharia Economics Conference, initiated by the Indonesian Muslim Intellectuals Association (PRIMA) on February 9 in Hannover, Germany, according to its chairperson Natasya M Widjaja.
"This is a very useful program to broaden the economic views from the Islamic perspective," Natasya M Widjaja said in a statement received by ANTARA here on Thursday.
The conference under the theme "Islamic Economic Relevance Amid Global Economic Turbulence" featured several detailed presentations explaining the Islamic economy, its development in the world, and the application of this system in the form of policies and in the field of macro-economics.
"This event is packed in detail so that people who do not understand or are not practically concerned with the economic topics can understand easily," Natasya who is taking up interior design study at Hochschule Hannover said.
She added on those grounds the PPI Hannover fully supported the event in the form of technical assistance since the preparations until the day when the one-day conference took place.
"I hope after this conference people will understand the economy, especially the Islamic economy clearly," Natasya said. (*/DWA)
