Tanjung, S Kalimantan (Antara Bali) - The Tanjung unit of state oil and gas company PT Pertamina said it would drill nine more oil wells in Tabalong, South Kalimantan.
The target is to produce at least 4,800 barrels of crude oil per day for the unit, field manager of the unit Damar Aryo Sutrisno said.
The new wells will be drilled in the areas of Murung Pudak and Tanjung, Damar said in this capital of Tabalong on Wednesday.
Currently , Pertamina's Tanjung unit produces 4,500 barrels of crude oil per day falling short of the target as not all wells have been producing.
Damar said the wells already producing are not yet fully in operation because of underground shifting in oil flows.(*/DWA/IGT)
