Denpasar (Antara Bali) - The chairman of the Bali Inter-religious Harmony Forum (FKUB) Ida Bagus Wiyana has called upon the Muslim community in Bali, also known as Paradise Island, to strengthen the bond of friendship through the celebration of Idul Fitri.

Wishing everyone a Happy Lebaran Day and "Mohon Maaf Lahir Batin," which means "from the bottom of my heart and soul, I ask forgiveness for my wrongdoings," Wiyana asked all inter-religious communities in Bali to be more harmonious in their dealings with each other.

He noted that a peaceful and prosperous Bali can only be built on the strong foundation of religious harmony and tolerance.

"So far the Muslim and Hindu communities of Bali have followed the principle of harmony and tolerance," Wiyana said, adding that the island of paradise can set a good example for religious harmony in Indonesia.(IGT)
