Bandung (Antara Bali) - PT Dirgantara Indonesia has benefited from the growth in demand for the manufacturing components of Airbus and Boeing.
"The two aircraft giants have outsourced the production of various components to many companies worldwide, including PT DI," the head of the company's public relations division, Rakhendi Triyatna, said here on Tuesday.
He noted that the demand for manufacturing components of Airbus and Boeing had risen in line with the increasing needs of commercial aircraft, whose numbers would reach 4,000 in the period of 2010-15 alone.
"The competition between Airbus and Boeing seems to be tight, with Airbus representing the European consortium, and Boeing the US," Rakhendi said.
"The two have been competing maximally to secure markets with a variety of products, such as A-380 by Airbus and Dreamliner B-787 by Boeing," he added.(IGT)
