Cairo (Antara Bali) - The Indonesian Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry in association with the Indonesian consulate general in Jeddah held a tourism exhibition in Jeddah on April 26-27 to attract more Saudi tourists to Indonesia.
The two-day expo was aimed at promoting the Indonesian tourism among Saudis and expatriates living in the oil-rich country, the Indonesian consulate general in Jeddah said in a press statement on Saturday.
The expo was jointly opened by the ministry's director of overseas tourism promotion, Nia Niscaya, and the information and socio-cultural consul in Jeddah, Cahyono Rustam.
During the expo, national flag carrier Garuda Indonesia and 11 travel bureaus offered a number of interesting travel and tourism packages among visitors, the statement said.
To introduce Indonesian handicraft, the event's organizing committee distributed free typical Indonesian souvenirs including bamboo whistle among visitors.(IGT/T007)
